Course Description

This one day workshop follows on from the ‘Introduction to Podcasting’ workshop and is aimed at users with some understanding of podcasting technologies who need to explore the topic in greater depth. The workshop also looks at creating video podcasts and screencasts.

Using tools provided with the Apple Mac platform, the workshop will cover the more advanced aspects of audio and enhanced podcast recording and post production, creating and editing video podcasts and screencasts, RSS feed creation and publication.

The workshop will include both demonstrations and hands on exercises for the delegates to practice some of the techniques examined during the workshop.

Uniquely, this session is delivered by one of the top UK podcasters - Don McAllister - who has been podcasting since the phenomenon started. Regularly listed as on of the top 20 technology podcasters in iTunes both in the US and the UK, Don can speak authoritatively on the whole area of podcast creation and production since becoming one of the few full time podcasters in the world.

Pre-Requisities

Ideally attendance of the "Introduction to Podcasting" workshop or a good understanding of audio podcasting.
