CCT002 : Mac & OSX Technical Briefing
Course Description
This one day course is a preliminary course for users new to
Mac OS X who may need a more technical appreciation of the Mac OS X to provide local support to other Mac OS X users.
This workshop covers some of the more advanced aspects of the Mac OS X including customising system preferences, setting up multiple user accounts, using the Terminal and general troubleshooting hints and tips for the Mac. The workshop will also cover using Macs in a dual OS X and Windows environment via virtualisation using Parallels for OS X and dual booting using Apples BootCamp.
NB This course does not include Mac OS X Server - This will be the subject of another workshop in development.
Who Should Attend
Intended for new Mac OS X users who may be called upon to support other Mac OS X users in a business or group environment. Typically IT support, power users, service technicians or anyone who managers networks of Mac OS X systems for their organisations.
Pre-Requisities
Some computer knowledge would be advantageous - Windows or Mac. Attendance on the "Introduction to Mac (Basic User)" is recommended for new Mac users although not mandatory.
